Hon. John Mbadi is the Cabinet Secretary for The National Treasury and Economic Planning. Before his appointment, Hon. Mbadi had an extensive career in public service, most recently serving as a nominated Member of Parliament and the Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee in the National Assembly.

The Cabinet Secretary has also served as the elected Member of Parliament for Suba South Constituency, Suba Constituency, and Gwassi Constituency. He previously held the position of Assistant Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister and served as Leader of Minority in the National Assembly.
